  1. Hmm...interesting. I don't see myself wearing a fisherman jacket though. I think I will still carry a small bag with essentials (like Chapstick!) and valuables. I can say I've gotten extremely good at paring down and traveling very light!!

    Also, as a suggestion for women who don't want to wear a fisherman jacket, there are several small bags on the market that do virtually the same thing a fisherman jacket does with pockets and cubby holes but in a more feminine way.

    I think most travelers could challenge themselves a little bit more when deciding what are "essentials" in carry-on baggage. I see so many overloaded travelers and I always think "Come on. You can't possibly consider all of those items essential!"
